As a part-time UX/UI designer at UpTop you will assist a lead designer on a specific project using a design thinking mindset and lean UX methodologies. You will be a generalist who may be asked to perform user research, data analysis, concept design, prototyping, or usability testing. You will need to be able to take guidance and direction from the lead designer and/or design manager and assist in any aspect of a project and deliver high quality and value. Part-time, UX Designer
What You'll Do:
- Balance user, business, and technology goals
- Design simple and intuitive user interfaces leveraging UX best practices on mobile and desktop
- Experience in gathering both quantitative and qualitative data and converting into actionable insights
- Perform UX research activities including stakeholder/user interviews, journey mapping, survey building and analysis, card sorting and tree testing
- Create wireframes (mid to hi-fidelity)
- Build interactive, clickable prototypes via Figma
- Visual design capabilities with a good sense of type, color, and layout
- Implement or extend existing client brand style and design system
- Prepare detailed designs as needed for development including user states, interactions, and annotations
