Diptic, an award-winning mobile photo-collaging application, is excited to announce a major update. The new update will enable Diptic users to go beyond creating collages of still images; users will now have the ability to create animated collages using their own photos and videos.
While photo collages have always been Diptic’s main focus, Diptic understands that visual storytelling sometimes involves more than just images. With Diptic’s latest iOS update, users can now upload a combination of videos and photos to their collages and tell their story through transitions with the added benefit of including any song from their music library to collages that feature video.
“Sometimes, still images just don’t capture the moments the way people want to remember them,” notes Diptic co-creator and product manager, Rob Reinhardt. “We added the video feature and animated collages to this update so users can create cool, shareable memories that combine the best of both worlds.”
Featured as an “Apple Editor’s Choice” for the Photo & Video Category, Diptic 8.0 or ‘Diptic Super 8’ for iOS 7 and above is our most ambitious product release to date. In addition to the features Diptic is well known for, the new version offers:
- Ability to add video to any of the 181+ layouts
- Two new layouts
- Brand new animated layouts with seven transition options
- Personalized text captions for any photo or video creation
- Ability to add music to any video collage with customized start and stop times
The two new layouts, animated transitions, and video and music feature are free to all Diptic customers with the initial $0.99 download. The free video collages and/or animated transitions will include a Diptic watermark. Diptic is offering an additional in-app purchase of $0.99 to users who wish to have clear, unmarked visuals.
In addition to the major video updates, Diptic developers have spruced up some of the app’s crawlspaces for improved user experience.
